ChiChi Says, Happy Halloween!

ChiChi is Baby Elvis' mother. We took her in as a pregnant feral cat. She gave birth the very next day.

She has been living with us since May and has been slowly adjusting to being a member of our family. She mainly lives under my bed, but she often sits by the bed and stares at me like this. She likes chin rubs and belly rubs, but does not want to be picked up, EVER!

She needs a home!

She needs a home! photographed by GenGlo

This little sweety is getting more affectionate every day! She rolls and purrs and kneads when anyone touches her. As an outdoor cat, she never had a soft blanket before, so she is so happy to have the soft, pink blankey she is curled up on. She was born to one of the adults at the feral colony where we are doing TNR. When she came to our house to recover from her spay surgery, we realized that she is far too friendly to be a feral cat, and she needs a good home.

I need a home!

I need a home! photographed by GenGlo

We have been doing trap, neuter, release at a Feral colony that my Mother manages for 2 years now. All of the cats are sweet and gentle and more like pets than feral cats.

We have been taking them to be spayed and neutered, finding homes for the kittens, and the adults that don't find homes live on my Mother's property. She feeds them and provides shelter for them, but these cats are far too sweet to be outdoor cats. This little girl was spayed yesterday and she is at our home recovering from her surgery. She is very affectionate and lovable and would be a perfect house cat. She is about 10 months old, she was one of the kittens that was born last year before we got the adults spayed.

We have already adopted many of the cats from this colony, and we can't take any more.

Shadow

Shadow photographed by GenGlo

She's not really as startled as she looks. Shadow is very slippery and hard to photograph, so I had to catch her while she was sleepy.

Miss Shadow was a kitten that was left behind when I captured the rest of her littermates. Later that evening, my sister discovered a soaking wet, little kitten crying at the back door and we took her in and returned her to her family. The plan was to socialize the three kittens and find homes for them, but they became a permanent part of our family. The three kittens are now about 7 months old, and they have settled in well with the rest of our human and furry family.

All the cats are enjoying the new toys, catnip, and cat scratchers that they received for Christmas. We let them open their gifts early, as they smelled them as soon as they arrived in the house. :)

I've been so busy with Christmas that I haven't had a chance to post or visit blogs. I hope to catch up soon. Merry Christmas, give your furry friends and extra hug from me.

Miss Luna

Miss Luna photographed by GenGlo

Luna was the first feral kitten I captured. She was the runt and very tiny, so when the rest of the litter scurried away, she just sat there and I scooped her up. I hated to take a tiny kitten from her Mom, but was afraid it was my only chance. She became very attached to me, and I her, so there was no way I would adopt her out. Shes grown into a beautiful, loving cat. She hates the camera, however, so I don't have many photos of her.

Happy Caturday

Zelda photographed by GenGlo

This is our Zelda. She was one of the kittens born to Ferals that we trapped, neutered, and released this summer. She was very timid at first, but she has turned into a wonderful member of our family. Zelda is very affectionate and seems to be attached to our other black rescue cat, Luna.

Simon is such a fun part of our family, so I created a SquidPaws lens in his honor.

We are so attached to these babies. They have great personalities and I hope they get great families.
